ππΌ Welcome to SwiftlyRush
The hype around conferences is something that makes me smile all the time.
I had the privilege of attending SwiftHeroes in Turin, Italy. It was an overall good experience meeting some folk that I have only ever known online. Meeting these people in person is always an amazing experience and is the main reason why I attend conferences in person.
For sure, you can learn some new things about Swift or similar but meeting people and talking about their experiences is what makes it all worthwhile.
However, I want to make a point that conferences should always be for the community, yes, of course, sponsors help fund the conference and they should get the right level of exposure and if you want you can speak with those folk at the venue but everything else should be for the community.
This is what motivated me to create SwiftLeeds, a conference that will never lose sight of why we created it, solely for the community and built by the community. We want you to learn new things but ultimately make new friends and connect with others in the industry. We want to break down those groups attending so you can meet new people and share new experiences.
