In-person conferences are amazing!
I have mentioned this a few times within my weekly newsletter, but when I attend in-person conferences, I get a concrete reminder of how amazing they are.
Suppose you have never attended a conference before in person. In that case, I can't recommend this enough, providing you're comfortable being around people in this post-COVID world we live in.
I had the incredible opportunity to be present at 360iDev as a speaker, and it was an awesome time meeting some new people and reconnecting with existing friends within the community.
🥳 What's New
Custom Metrics with MetricKit
I actually presented most of this content within my talk at 360iDev, but this week I have covered how to submit custom metrics using MetricKit; it's awesome!

iOS 16 is a huge opportunity to promote your app by Filip Němeček
I have linked to a few of Filip's articles in the past; if you're an indie developer especially, I recommend following his articles. This one resonated more because I hope to push VStack further this year for iOS 16.
Abstract Factory Pattern: Protocol Oriented Design Pattern by Jon Hoffman
I love this series of articles from Jon; I linked to his previous article last week. I recommend following his series with me.
Using CoordinateSpace to draw over a SwiftUI List by Matthew Flint
This was an interesting read and concept. I had never thought about drawing over a View before. Instead, I would have probably conditioned on the data instead, but when you read the last part, it makes complete sense. We have a similar piece of logic in the Circuit app that I work on. Interesting!
What to expect from Apple’s iPhone 14 event by Leonardo
You don't have to read this one if you don't want to know what September will bring. However, if you do then I recommend having a look. I will be honest; this is going to be an expensive year for me with Apple 😅
💡 And Finally...
It's only fitting I show a picture of 360iDev!
