ππΌ Welcome to SwiftlyRush
What a crazy week!
You have likely seen the news recently regarding Silicon Valley Bank, and if you've not seen the news then you can read a great overview by Gergely.
It got me thinking across the week about how the pandemic caused huge growth for some companies, which in the end can be unsustainable and end up being the death of those companies. SVP was the "go too" bank for many start-ups that were receiving vast amounts of investment during the peak of the technology rush. Because of that, SVP spiked in deposits (an unusually large amount of deposits).
It just makes you wonder how a company or organisation of this size can end up dying. What did you think of the situation?
Was you affected directly or indirectly? Let me know ππΌ
