👋🏼 Welcome to SwiftlyRush
It's been a busy week to say the least 🚀
We finally got the date agreed for SwiftLeeds after some final details needed ironing out with the venue, these things can happen but we have to get those right before selling any tickets. However, with all this now agreed we got tickets on sale and we sold out the first batch of tickets within 5 days, wow!
I never thought that SwiftLeeds would become so popular in such a short space of time; in fact, I factored 50 attendees in the first year 🫣
I am so grateful to be in a position to put on such a conference and this motivates me even more to make it the best conference you ever attend.
We're now selling Early Bird, and you can claim yours on the website; I can't wait to see you all in October.

Optimizing your app for Network Reachability by Antoine van der Lee
I don't think we cover this topic enough within the community, handling network availability so that you can either display this information to your users or attempt retries. It's also worth optimizing this and Antoine has done a great job giving you ideas on doing that.
Using Swift Reflection by Keith Harrison
Have you ever used the Mirror API, did you even know it existed? This is a great article showing a great use-case for it and when is best place to do so.
Developer guide on App Clips for iOS by Natascha Fadeeva
App Clips was one of those features whereby it builds so much excitement within the community but ends up becoming another "Widget". It's fascinating though and we actually built one for the SwiftLeeds conference last year, they're super easy to build and if you have the right use-case is a nice addition. Find out how in this article.
Speedrun Design: Heart Rate Zone View in SwiftUI by David Smith
If you're interested in learning some neat design tips then I would highly recommend viewing David's blog, he covers some very interesting concepts. Like this one, showing you how he built the Speedrun design using SwiftUI, super cool!
Discover how @MainActor works by Vincent Pradeilles
Do you know what @MainActor is? Nope, it's not quite the person from the latest Netflix series, it's used within the Swift Concurrency and Vincent always does a great job explaining what they mean.
💡 And Finally...
I had so much fun recording this Podcast with team Kodeco and Josh Holtz, I hope you will find it interesting!
