👋🏼 Welcome to SwiftlyRush
It's just 17 days until WWDC23... 🫣
Yes, I know - the time always goes nowhere when we hit April and May (in my opinion). For some reason, the early months of the year always seem to last a very long time, and I have a motive for why that is.
Everything goes slower, most people are returning from vacation from a nice seasonal end-of-year break, and it seems to take companies and often employees a little while to get the cogs in motion; that's my motive, but of course, I doubt that is anything but true.
This is an exciting time, however, and I always say this, but I am very much excited for WWDC this year; sadly, I didn't get a ticket invitation, but I will be very much looking forward to streaming from the UK and enjoying what Apple has to offer.
I expect huge updates to SwiftUI, as always, more components to use and extra functionality to help us shape our SwiftUI apps going forward. There are always huge rumours about the AR/VR headset; could 2023 be the year? I am not sure; Apple will be closely watching the AR/VR industry for a gap to open and capture the market. Is it there yet? I don't think so.
In other news, I got my first subscriber to my Greenhouse app, and this is a huge milestone for me because I have not advertised or even shared it via my social media, but this was purely organic from the App Store, and this has given me the indication that a market exists for this kind of app, and I must build more and more features.
Have a great week ahead 🙏🏼
